It is an illusion that photos are made with the camera… they are made with the eye, heart and head.” – Henri Cartier-Bresson

I use photography as a tool to observe the world and tell stories that help us see a different reality. I believe that what we can see and imagine in our minds can also be projected into the world around us. My photography includes “I’m a Woman” project, inspired by the need to break down obsolete parameters of how society sees women, and a special collection, “Entrepreneurs Underwater”, inspired by the absence of gravity underwater that makes our bodies free to move in any direction and explore new limits like entrepreneurs do.

“I’m a Woman” is an ongoing collection created over the last 10 years. It is a place where I wish to capture all the possible multi-dimensions of women, with the intent of providing a more complete definition of who we are. By browsing hundreds of pictures in one minute, I want to bring back to life the feelings of getting old, being naked, scared, curious, unaware, determined, and the entire spectrum that defines being a woman. I also wish to bury the notion of the “perfect” woman and to shed light on the real us.

“Entrepreneurs Underwater” represent the spirit of entrepreneurship: challenging the impossible. Just as living underwater is impossible for human beings, entrepreneurs challenge what already exists and try to innovate by creating new solutions. For me, water represents a discomfort zone for most people. That mental discomfort zone is where entrepreneurs and creative artists live . All the subjects in these photos recreate normal situation, eating a strawberry, reaching for eyeglasses, all while overcoming the discomfort of posing underwater.

I also wear other hats. I’m CEO of Hack for Big Choices and an Innovation Strategist. You can lear more here or you can find here my bio.
